Hi there, How do I delete my account here at Digital Point and remove the thread I've written, please? I searched on how to delete my own thread, and someone said I should report it. I did that more than a week ago and nothing happened. I also want to delete my account here. I search the site and went through the Your Account area but there was nothing there. Help please.
Honestly, there should be a law that every site must have the option for people to delete their information completely. Totally unprofessional not have that choice.
I've been a member for awhile now and if there is one thing that I have learnt about this place, it is this. Namely that DP is not a democracy and the only law that applies is their law.
What information? I really don't understand what your problem is, you posted a thread with no identifiable information in it, why do you want it deleted, just logout and don't login again, nobody here will remember you.
I should have the right to delete my account, it's none of your concern why I want to do that. If you don't see a problem with that, I do. Thank you for the lovely reply, though!
First you created account, why? and Then you wish to delete it, why? It is general question that everyone asking and will ask why you created account if you know you have to delete it. I think you created account only to know how to delete it. So, best is instead to delete it don't login, some how you may need this place in near future for your queries and then you realize Oh! What I done!. Make Friends good friends and keep stay always with them.
Why? What did you agree to in the terms and conditions when you joined? If you wanted the ability to delete your account, then why did you join and agree to the terms and conditions?
In all fairness to the OP, show me where it states that you cannot cancel your account in the rules. Perhaps it is there but I can't remember ever seeing it. No, this is Hotel California....the staff are here to please...well up to a point anyway.
The humour comes at the point where s/he says s/he searched the site for the answer - yet managed not to find all the other threads from people asking how to delete accounts. Being anxious to delete just draws attention to your account and the posts you have made and makes us wonder what you're hiding - especially when the posts appear to be innocuous.
