I would like to have a site that looks something like http://www.joomla.org/ or like http://www.simplemachines.org/ . Mainly these sites have templates like Digital Point, except they have a navigation menue below the header and above the forum. How I would like my site to function; html pages such as "about the site", "home", "forum", "articles" etc... Some of the pages will be static, and will require little updating. Some pages however, should function in a way that wordpress or blogger works; you can add and remove stuff w/o html. (I would like to manage my articles like this b/c doing everything in html would get tedious) Lastly (in terms of pages) I would like to have a forum. Now I would also like to make money. SO I would like to have several areas w/ ads. My question is; is it possible to have specific ads show up only on specific parts of the site? ie; sports ads in the sports section of the forum, and gambling ads in the gambling section of the forum. Also can I rotate adds from page to page? My final idea is this; to have an interface where ppl submit their own videos. However, to access the videos the users/surfers need to pay $. Essentially it is like a youtube where the ppl who submit videos profit. And the viewers pay. Ideally I would get set a % of the sale ($) that I would receive. How can something like this be set up? I really want to set these things up, however I don't know anything about html, or php, or java, or css, or useing a FTP so I am not progressing. I have the idea and now I am stuck. Are there any free templates that would work for my idea? I would like to get a site up so I can add content and sandbox it. Then once I get 30-40 uniques a day, I would like to start the forum (CMF), finally once I have a stable community, I would like to introduce the video aspect. I am low on money, and can only afford to pay about 10$ a month for hosting, so hiering a pro to design this is out of the question. If you can give me any tips, or point out any flaws in my logic thanks a lot!
