    Hi,

Im trying to create a background for a new web site.
At the moment im using photoshop.
The background needs to be 200px high.
    I then have 2 layers ...
Layer 1 is just solid blue
    Layer 2 is graphic image
(so the graphic lays on top of the blue background)
I now want to shade out (blend) both layers to white. So the first 100px is the full color and then from 101 to 200 it slowly blends into white (fades to white) so that when i put the background on the web page the blue (layer1 and 2) slowly becomes white.

How do i create the blend from blue to white on both layers???

very inexperienced in ps so please give me very simple instructions if possible?

    Many thanks

Get the gradient tool via the tool box. At the top of PS, you will see a bar with two colours mixing (usually white to black). Quickly set the forgroud to white and click once on the bar. Then click the second thumb of white to transparent. Hit okay. Take the tool and drag it across the area you want it to fade to white. Do that on both layers and you should get the outcome you want, though it's hard to tell.
