there is a ready-made plug-in available for WordPress. But it is benefit of this is that the moment you submit a new post, the sitemap would automatically update itself and submit to Google. This is the greatest advantage is you do not have to manually go about submitting it . However you have to remember that it usually takes up a lot of disk space

    It updates every 10 minutes?!

...your stuff might not be showing up in Google because you are currently being sandboxed for the every 10 minute thing.

    It is a possibility.

A automatic sitemap creator I love is called xml-sitemap.com. Not only does it automatically crawl your website and create a sitemap but it also submits it to the search engines for crawling!

I am a WordPress user and I use the plugin Google XML Sitemaps. This plugin will generate a special XML sitemap which will help search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask.com to better index your blog. :)

Son, this question has been asked so many times on this forum... couldn't you take one minute and do a search query? I can't tell you how many times I've answered this question on this forum. Go to xml-sitemaps.com and create a sitemap. This is the best free option.

Google might count it as a blackhat tactic for seo like having white links in a white footer.
