I know how to create a facebook fan page but everytime i try to create one for my website the URL looks like this:

You need to have at least 25 likes and then you can sign up for shorter version of url and you just type what you want see if it is available and if it is you are set . Go to edit profile, Username and there you can change that but i think minimum 25 likes is required.

If you're having trouble getting the prerequisite likes for your fan page, don't be afraid to use the link to recommend the page to your friends. I don't mean simply sharing it on your wall, there's a way to do it so that they get a notification in their top bar. Friends are very commonly willing to help in this situation and it can be very handy.

BTW I am sure you have got your answer.... however make sure you do proper promotions and tagging for your fan page likes....
Also keep posting some attractive pics and articles to your fan page so more and more people are visiting your page !!
