How do i covert my sitemap xml to .gz?

    Hi Mates

    I need help on converting my sitemap. The site is indexed in 100k inner pages. I made a sitemap but google accept 50k per file so i decided to edit and make it 2 folder.

    I want to convert my xml file to xml.gz file to make it faster but i dont know how. Can you help me?

    So have you got 2 XML maps or just one? Why not just do a search for the 50,000 line and copy the rest into a new xml document ... .gz is just a zip format so you can create them with winrar or winzip :)

    Ah ok. I have one sitemap but need to make divide it into 2, since google allow 50K only.
