Bug How do I correct an Unpaid Rating?

I performed a BIN a few weeks ago, which didn't have the Paypal. Anyhow, the seller didn't get back to me until several days later, at which time, i paid for the auction. But my rating, next to my iTrader shows 1 Unpaid. It should not be there. How can I get that resolved?

You would need to pay through the normal Instant Pay link it gives you.

So I'm stuck with that for life? That doesn't seem right.

I would disagree. Not paying instantly doesn't mean that it's still Unpaid. The rating implies exactly that. It's like paying off your auto loan, but the pink slip still showing a lien holder and never being removed. Bad logic.

Not a valid analogy... if you paid off your auto loan, the lien holder would be removed. Just like if you pay for the item you bid on, the unpaid status would be removed.

I think there is a simple trick for cleaning this one . Go and ask seller to reject your bid (even the sale is over) . In this case your unpaid receipt will remain there until you win another auction with enabled instant payment . After you pay for the next receipt , system tries to recalculate your score . Then you no longer will see that :)

digitalpoint: That's the thing, it is paid for, I just didn't use the instant pay.

amirk: I think improving my FICO score requires less work lol. Thanks for the tip.

...and you expected it to know you paid when you didn't use the payment link it gave you? :)

I don't expect miracles, but there should be a process that can clear it. Without it, it's an erroneous rating. As I mentioned previously, when I went back to the auction, prior to making payment, there was no instant pay option, which is why I paid directly.

There should be a process in place to clear those items. For example, maybe the seller should have an option to say that it's Paid (if instant pay isn't available or wasn't used). It can also be linked to the iTrader, when seller gives positive iTrader on that auction, it should be assumed that they received payment. Just some ideas.

If users can just say a transaction happened without any sort of verification, then how would it be any different/better than iTrader?

That was the main problem with iTrader... that people would lie about a transaction actually happening or not.
