How do I convert DVD's to Quicktime/AVI/MOV/MPEG?

I would like to know how I could convert a DVD to Quicktime format (or even avi, mov, mpeg) so that I can have a link on my website and viewers can view the short clip, with sound. None of the DVD's I'd like to convert are copyright protected.
Any help would be much appreciated!

all u.s. dvd's are copyright protected by default... other countries also have their own copyright laws.

just be careful what you are doing.

I'll have to agree with that, this is one of the best sites with converting any format to another. It will also provide links to the software you will need.

You have to first use a program to convert the DVD to an MPEG. Then you can covert the MPEG to whatever you want. DIVX is recommended also.

Good luck finding shareware.. most of them contain viruses, and the ones that are "FREE" only give you small bits of conversion... you can get a good one for about $30 ...

In fact, what I am using is Pavtube DVD Ripper now.
It is used to convert DVD to many other video and audio formats, such as AVI, MPEG, WMV, MOV, MP4, MP3 compatible with iPod, iPhone, PSP, Zune.
I prefer the progam as its after-sale service is good. So I think when choosing an appropriate program for ourselves, we should consider not only its quality, functions, but also its after-sale service.

Most of these softwares have problems with time, i mean from what i've seen AVC is one of the best softwares which effectively and within a certain time duration convert all files in good formating :) and the best thing is that it's free.
