How do I compete with flippa.com?

@pressguy - Thanks, I am fortunate to have both time and a decent lump of money to put into the project, I just need to make the best use of the resources so I get the most out of them.

Posting on classified sites will do the work. Between nice site.

 

Bleze, i have heard a few suggestions for classified sites, but I dont see the benefit, unless im missing out on something I imagine these sites to only be any good for selling tv's etc... how could they help promote a niche website.

 

If you got enough money you can make an interesting contest , something like this

1. Applicant is starting to built some small website , and during given period he need to develop it and generate revenue thru that website
2. Once it is developed , applicant must list that site for sale on webmastersmarketplace.com ( let's say in 3 month )
3.After listing for sale , during given period the website which will gets highest bids will be winners and you can give big credit in your website + add some kind of prize
4. All applicants might have your small banner with direct link to your website ( to will help you in SERP )

Well this is just an idea , with many things to be corrected and rethinked ( especially fake bidding and ect )

 

Thanks rentdn, I think a competition is good for getting sellers to the site and I am in the process of trying to piece something together.

I also need to get more buyers to the site too, I hope as the sellers increase so will the buyers as they realise its a good place to trade.

I will think more about the competition
