How do I choose the frame that a provider sees first?

This is driving me crazy. I have just started reading about web optimization, and have gone to other sites to see if I could determine why they were doing so well and I made some changes in my HTML code.

The changes, meta file descriptions etc are in "index.html". My site is www.cinematicexpressions.com. When I view the page source in my browser I am not looking at index.html. I am looking at cinematicexpressions.com.htm. ???

I suppose the server made this name change. It appears to have picked a frame from the site that is vertical on the left, not the main frame of the site.

I do not know where to go from here in terms of being able to make the necessary changes I would like to make. I hope this makes sense. If so I am sure its an easy fix but being a newbie I am just lost.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Pretty much sums up why frames are not a good thing to use.

If there is a solution, I am not aware of it.
