    Please Can anyone help me?

I am installing a cbengine Clickbank mall on my website. These are the installation instructions i received from cbengine:

    1. Just upload the files to a folder on your website

    2. CHMOD the "store_cache" directories to "777"

I have done step one above and my ClickBank shopping mall is working properly i guess: You can check it out here: http://www.onlinemeans.com/clickbank-storefront/marketplace.php

But my problem is with the 2nd point. How do you CHMOD the "store_cache" directories to "777" I dont understand this, and i think without doing this my Clickbank mall will not be able to update anytime there is an update at clickbank. Need help with this please.

You need to connect to your site with an FTP client and change the store_cache folder permissions (chmod) to 777. By doing this you allow anyone to read, write, or execute files from this folder.

You can do it by using cpanel,

-> file manager -> select the folder you want to chmod

-> click on permissions from the right side of the file manager window

-> check mark all the column so that you should get 777 as the total on the bottom of the permission box.

    Guess this will help you

    Best of luck

Oh my God, i feel stupid. so easy to do. i figured out how to do it using my ftp client! all this time i have been trying to do it using control panel and startlogic don't have the permission changing option on their file manger.

so i used the ftp client. I connected to my web host though my ftp client (filezilla,) then i just right clicked on the directory to change permission, then choose file attributes and checked all the boxes! Kind of easy eh, now that i know how to do it.

It now works! Check it out here: http://www.onlinemeans.com/clickbank-storefront/marketplace.php

    Thanks for the help.

Perhaps if I knew what control panel you were using I could have been a little more detailed with my response. Good that you were able to make the change. :D
