Maybe you could just do a search at www.yourdomain.com and see whether it appear in the search engine.

Use the "site:" operator in your Google search.

    site:yourdomain.com

i typed that site:mysite and i got 2 pages full of pages in google but then i click on my webmaster tools and it tells me this

No pages from your site are currently included in Google's index. Indexing can take time. You may find it helpful to review our information for webmasters and webmaster guidelines. [?]

The data in Webmasters Central isn't real time.

There might be a difference between "site:yourdomain.com" and "site:www.yourdomain.com"

To know if a page is indexed by google, just copy the full address and paste it in Google search box (not in Google toolbar, it goes to the page address by default), google will show your address and title, if Google shows something like:

No standard web pages containing all your search terms were found

Your page is not indexed yet

The best part about this method is that it works with single pages

    Hope this help
