I'm waiting to get analytics. Is there any way to check which of my ads are getting clicked most, and which ones are not really used?
Channels, thats a new concept for me (never heard of it before) so I'll get reading up on it. To the google FAQ!
just a question, for my adverts I use the same piece of code site wide (3 different codes, but they feature on every page) in a div include, will this affect the use of channels? I'll just need 3 channels won't I?
Can anybody explain how I would use channels to me? I've read the FAQ, searched google and I can't seem to grasp it. I've got 3 different codes I use so I'd need 3 channels right, but where would I set them up and whatnot?
samskpunk, How does a person track an ad? Pages are channeled/tracked, but individual ads? Please explain. Thanks.
It is easy setting up channels, just follow the directions as you set up an adsense ad for your site. I have some sites with channels for each page (the channel menu for me is like one long assed scroll now!@). ANd one day, on finding out from someone I could do it ad by ad, I tried that out....so go from one channel per page to 4 channels per page! Hence the long scroll!!!
They are actually really easy to impliment, I managed it now. Presumably I check their stats in the Advanced report tab by highlighting however many of them I want?
Has anyone taken a look at a certain channel that seems to get a decent amount of clicks, then tried to replicate that similar amount of hits onto another site? Any results you would like to share with this before I proceed to study this concept myself?
Channels are the way to go. Excellent diagnostic tool. I change over to the link style ads for 1 week instead of using the banner style and WHOA! my clicks dropped like anything so I went back to the banner style quick smart!
