Hi guys, Im a fairly new webmaster and i was wondering what is the best free way to check what other sites are linking to me? Thanks Prawn
Check out the 'Back-links Checker Tool' on http://www.webwest.net/search-engine-optimization/seo-tools.php
Go to google or pretty any other decent search engine put link:url into the search box where url is the url of the site in question. example: http://www.google.com/search?q=link:drmikessteakdinner.com
1. Just create a webmaster google account (it is free): http://www.google.com/webmasters/ Then you get information about your site, including a listing of your backlinks. 2. Otherwise use the link function of Yahoo explorer: https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ EDIT the "link" command with google (as suggested by theapparatus) does not show comprehensive information because Google deliberately limits the released information (in order to avoid spams). Compare: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...k:www.willgoto.com/&btnG=Search&aq=f&oq=&aqi= and https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http://www.willgoto.com&fr=sfp&bwm=i
Well All the links will be caught by only back link checker which the best of all https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ Or else you can also check it at http://checkpagerank.net/ It will show the count from yahoo, google and alltheweb Hope it helps
backlinkwatch is best its showing dofollow and nofollow links otherwise just open yahoo.com and type. link:www.yourdomain.com
