How do I check external links effectively

How do I check how many external links I have going to a site

I am trying to google webmaster tools and am unable to do it

I am using safari on a mac

Please instruct

 

your question is not clear, Where do you want to check, If I am not mistaken you are talking about outbond links but you have not mentioned on which site you want to calculate.. On yours site, if so then you know it better than any one. Explain your query in details also tell what exactly you tried in webmaster tool?? I am sure you will get a quick response..

 

I want to check sites linking to my site. But Google has a problem loading

Most everyone uses Yahoo. To do this go to yahoo.com and type linkdomain:yourdomain.com.

When using link:domain.com in Google, only my pageranked sites display any links.

Yep, use yahoo site explorer. Or another good one is SEOmoz mozbar, and opensiteexplorer.

 

we can logout form the submission page then after we can check our external link.
