Ok so basically, i bought a site and a domain. The domain is registered on godaddy, but i don't have a hosting plan with them. So i uploaded the site on my host (hostmonster.com). Now, how do i get the domain to go where my host hosts the site, because right now when you type in the name of the site in the URL, it goes to the old site's host.

I changed the nameserver to mine btw

    thanks alot

Login in at godaddy, go to 'domains manager', select the domain and click on 'nameserver', select 'cutom nameserver', enter the domain name server for your hosting at hostmonster (there are usually 2).

    It takes awhile to update.

    Hope that helps.

no... Basically, here's the domain that i bought http://www.scrubson.com/

aaand here's the same site hosted on my hostmonster account http://k-movies.com/

Notice the hostmonster one has a banner at the top, thats um how i distinguish between the old and the new lol. Either way, how can i change it so that the new domain, scrubson.com Goes to the site which is hosted on hostmonster?

If you are trying to have scrubson point to the domain k-movies you need to do a redirect either through your cpanel or your .htaccess file.

You still need to wait at least 24 hour until the namesever fully propagate.

There may be a form at hostmonster that you will need to fill out so that they can help you with the process. I'm sure if you contact them, they will help you since you created an account with them.

yes, park the old domain name.

And wait till nameserver is updated or use following DNS on your system for instant result.
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220

    This is openDNS, http://www.opendns.com/

You need wait after your DNS changed. Normally Your ISP needs 24 hours to resove. But some ISPs need a longer time.
