How do I change my theme in wordpress?(DONE MOST OF IT)

  1. #1
    I have done the following :

    - found my theme
    - used Filezilla and put the them into wp
    - Logged into wp


    Basically done everything and just need to know how to change from default to the theme I have placed into my wp...

    Can you guys help...

    When logged into WP go to presentation option and you should see the new theme. Just click on it and it should convert over.

    Yes, as longs as the theme is uploaded to the /wp-themes folder. :D

    All you have to do is upload the folder in your ftp and go into your WP ACP and click on "Presentation".

    and then select the them you want to use by... clicking on it.

    And if you want to edit anything in your theme, you need to FTP in, and CHMOD your theme files to "777" so you have permissions to edit in the Wordpress dashboard. I've got screenshots on how to do it here.
