How do I change my blog landing page?

    I want to have a different landing page for my blog. Something with my own design and html code. Is this possible? Any other advice? I want to make my main page with something like a portal with lots of info and summary rather than full written articles.

    Anyone tried it before? Care to share some advice?

    You could put your Wordpress installation in a different directory, then create a new index.html or whatever in the root folder.

    What if they click home when they are inside wordpress? It will go to my wordpress main page rather than my landing page right?

    You can edit your template so your "home" link leads to the landing page..
