how do i buy an australian .com.au domain name?

    Register via the Melbourne IT website.

    To register a .com.au you need to be an Australian business, or individual with an ABN.

    Yes, you need to be so you can get an ABN. I would be very surprised if you can get a com.au domain without one.

    johnfaulkner.com.au

    But, it does not take much to get registered.
