How do I buy AdWords links?

In my account I see know where to buy just links in a link unit. I am talking about putting my ad in the same spot a link in an AdSense link unit would be.

If anyone know how to get these, I would much appreciate it!

You need to sign up for Google Adwords.

I am signed up, but the only ads it lets me make are Text ads with 3/4 lines and image ads. I just want one so it will show like this:

    Ads by google: link1 link2 link3 MyLink Link5

You cant do what i think you mean, you want all your ads showing in the one ad block?

But then common sense tells me i think you want to advertise on the content network and not within search, so that your ads appear on peoples websites?

If thats what you want you need to choose the content network only and not the search network within adwords when setting up a new campaign.

you can't have custom ads format, you need to use Google Adwords ads formats.

You can't choose that as an option.
The publisher that has the ad units on his site can choose that's how he'll show ads - you can choose to have ads on the content network, or pick out particular sites as a placement, but it's the publisher who has chosen that's how he wants ads on his site.
