how do i block MY ip in analytics

    lo all,
    i am worried my own browsing on my site is getting counted as traffic but i cant find an option in analytics to stop this.

    ia m sure there must be one, how do i do it?

    its via the "filter"

    login to your analytics account, on the settings page (which is the default page you land in after logging in), you will see "filter manager" bottom right. Click on that, then click on "add filter" and fill in the required fields:

    1. give any filter name, like "home IP"
    2. drop down menu, filter type, choose "exclude all traffic from an IP address"
    3. this is where your IP goes, in the same format as specified by the example IP (find out your IP at http://www.whatismyip.com)
    4. select the website(s) you want to exclude
    5. save changes.


    should work..
