How do I best track my PPC hits?

My site that my PPC clicks go to also has organic SEO hits coming in. I need to know the percentage of hits to my site that come from PPC, I suppose. So, do I just create a landing page on that site for PPC to "enter" the main site? And make it No Follow in meta tag?

Do you know how to program? If yes, advertise a different link than default one to your site.

For example, if your site is: www dot site dot com
Advertise www dot site dot com/example, and make sure that your php script redirects visitors to www dot site dot com, and ads +1 to a specific field in the database.

In the end, u even don't have to do this, but you can only advertise www dot site dot com/example, do the redirect and see in Webalizer or Google Analytics how many people requested www dot site dot com/example link.

It is understood that www dot site dot com/example link should only be used in your ads, otherwise you will not get the right numbers.

I think google analytics will tell you about this, so if you are doing PPC with Google, then all you need to do is to install Google analytics into your website. From there you can count the hits from PPC.
