How do I become a coder?

Hi,
I am not sure if it is the right category to post this in. If it is wrong, Mods I am sorry. I wanted to learn coding and make money online using my coding skills. I see a lot of coders making around 3-4k on big projects and they earn a lot. I wanted to know what all should I learn in coding like which kind of coding is important to survive the market as a coder and the best available books to learn them. I would not spending some money on books to learn coding.

I hope to see myself as a coder soon in the market.

Personally i would start with c# and then move to c.. Java you wouldn't really need untill u have c and c++

 

It seems that u r getting wrong way !! learn c language first and then you can move to c# .C language is mother language

 

start studying that language, on which language you want to Become master.

 

There is no sequence to be followed. Start learning any language you want to learn and more over, what kind of a programmer you want to be

 

Start learning from C language and then learn Java. Learn some web programming languages like javascript, php also.

 

Start to learn C language when you able to do codes in C easily then move on any other language. Being a good coder mean only and only hard practice on codes, as much as you will do codes you will be a good coder one day.

Ok --- if you really want to make money online... learn PHP and HTML/JavaScript/CSS. C# might be very confusing to start with and very limiting to it's range of use for websites.

for html,css ,do prefer w3schools

 

go for "C" first than after that on java ! also the new application comes in the market u can try on that too like iphone, Android application , 3D Animation etc !

 

I agree with AdWorkMedia - start with PHP as a scripting language (javascript is fairly similar which is nice) and html, css come pretty easy with a little practice. Then of course you can move onto databases like MySQL.

 

Yes, first go to C after it everything will be easier somehow. If you want to make quick money online then learn php and basic sql,but you need to study hard and to know that you will lost about an eyar before to start making your very own and crazy scripts.

Php is very useful these days. The fastest way to improve quickly is learning form another coder at same time you are playing and reading. Find a partner

 

The best way to learn is to start working on projects as you learn. You will need a website either online or at home that has php/mysql installed. Then just start with a really small easy project. Build from there as you learn. Use google to help figure things out when you get stuck.

 

My advice really as a professional Software Engineer is to learn the basic methods with languages like C, and then move on. Once you a have a good knowledge of one language its quite easy to pick up another. Start learning the theory.

 

Before you can become a coder you must do the following.

1) Determine what kind of coding you want to do, like database, web, forum, image, flash, or whatever.
2) Then determine which coding language will best serve your purpose
3) Learn everything you can about that coding language and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.

Once you can comfortably code, you can hang out your shingle to the world telling us what you can do.

Be sure to do the above in that exact order. If you don't you may find that the coding you have learnt WILL NOT DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.
