Hello i have a website which is about iPhone 5 Like a news, rumors site etc The site is i 5 a p p s[.]com (plz remove spaces) Site's name doesnt have apple or iPhone but the content is about Apple iPhone. The logo is changed and the half bitten apple is also removed. Now can apple still sue me if they want ? Should i add a disclaimer or sth like this is just for informational purpose or sth ? Also should i move to offshore hosting ? Now i am hosted in US Can anyone help me plz
Their is an exception in copyright law known as "fair use" which provides for using another company's copyright material in a teaching or review situation. If however, you somehow monerterize the site it could destroy the exception. This is a complicated subject and I would suggest you contact a lawyer about the specifics of your site.
