    Hi All

The usual answer might be trade journals but, the costs are scary.

Do business holders use DP, or vilesilencers list or other such lists ?

    Cheers

Well first u find out who are the professionals in whatever niche category you choose, than you decide what these professionals do to get noticed and are seeking for, than you make plans to target them for the product or services they are seeking for, can be done via emails also.

Not really. Vilesilencers is only really used by a very specific group: directory owners and SEO submitters. DP's audience is much wider, but it's still a very specific group of people: mainly webmasters who like the atmosphere round here. Even the makeup of the boards is very specific. For example, the directory forums here are far busier than you find in places such as WebmasterWorld, for instance.

Trade journals are probably one of your most expensive options. Consider using trade forums and blogs, or newsletter advertising instead.

I was just checking on other directories that do well in their business but have no idea about SEO.

They usually use TV commercial or other more aggressive and effective advertising methods than SEO, which is rather passive.

I visited their sites, and most of them didn't even have PR3, yet some advertisers bought links on them. Furthermore, some of the directories are not even SE friendly. Advertisers probably don't know what SEO anyways, so I guess they think it's a good deal ;)
