How do I add my Own Preroll Commercials to a youtube Video

My company Autobytel has created a Youtube account and we have over 1 million views in a few short months.
We make car review videos. Well our head sales guy wants to add car commercials as preroll on our videos.

How can I add a commercial to our videos. Do I need to upgrade our account?
For instance if we have a Jaguar car review, I want to add the commercial upfront before the review.

I can have a video editor add the footage no problem. But am I allowed to?

Please share how you were able to do this (assuming 10 months later - you have a fix)

 

Log into your account. Click Video Manger (the link to access your videos). Scroll to the video you would like to promote. Once you find your video click edit and scroll down until you find the "Promote" link. From there, let YouTube tell you what to do.
