How do I add a directory to my existing website?

I currently have a website and just want to add a directory as an additional link. I currently use NVU for my work at home site, and I am really "lost" with all the talk of directory scripts. Is there an easy way to add a directory to my already existing site?

you can either add the directory as a subdomain or simply as a new folder. ;)

most people simply add a new folder in your root folder and install the directory in it.

    1. add new folder in your hosting root folder
    2. create database
    3. upload directory script to the new folder
    4. update settings of the directory in config file to use the database
    5. install away!

Yes there is. I just added one to mine. I made a sub folder and a database and added it. Pretty simple really. I got this one, http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/

Install it on a folder ..let's call it "directory" .Then add a link(www.domain.com/directory) to the navigation of your site.

Agree with Richie_Ni, extract your directory script from zip file and upload them to a folder "directory" to your server then install it, after this, add a link to your mainmenu.
