How do hide affiliate URL in Joomla?

Hi
I am a newbie to Joomla and i want to find out how to hide affiliate link.

What i want to do is key in an affiliate link in the article but display is as one of the internal link. i.e. rather than displaying http://www.xyz.com/index.php?affiliateid=123 i want to display is like http://www.xyz.com/xyzproduct.html .
I have seen this being done on the net but i am not sure how this can be done in joomla. I search for any modules or plugins but count not find any.

One way to do it would be to use SEF and set it that way.

 

Are you talking about SEF module like sh404SEF ? Do you know how to set it up ?

 

Go to global config and there you will see SEO Settings then you can Check Yes on all 3 option. also rename your htaccess.txt to .htaccess.
