    How do Google adword check if you are in the united states because I got a hostgator webhosting plan and I dont know how to redeem the code. I live in the U.K aswell.

    How do google check if i am in the united states?

    When you first sign up for Adwords, you have to tell them what country you live in. That is how they can tell where you live.

    Nope, I tried registering as United states and it sure didn't work. Maybe its the IP address?

    It's you IP address, google can tell exactly where you registered from.

    It is your IP address that google recognises. Google can tell exactly where you are (Country, city/town/village).
