How do deep link niche directories work?

    How do deep link directories which belong to a specific niche work i.e. if a directory belongs to travel niche and some one submits a link to a page that is related to travel, however the site isn’t, would you approve it?

    Also a person might submit each and every page of his site to the directory, how would you stop this? I mean wouldn’t it be bad if a directory had 1000’s links pointing to a single site?

    you reject any wrongly submitted links. If they do it again ban the domain.

    How about this scenario:

    A guy runs a technology blog and one day he writes a post about travel and then submits it to your directory, would you approve it?

    if his site has enough tech content then its fine.

    google is a search engine. if they submit to search engine category but also offer webmail, its still alright.

    this is what i was thinking and thats why wanted to know from people who actually run these directories, how they manage it.
