How do Adsense Linkbar units pay out?

    I have a linkbar ad along the top of my site that is getting xx clicks a day but little earnings. Does Adsense pay for a click on that link, or one on the search results page?

    Just trying to work when it is classed as a click?

    the link bar needs two clicks, one click on the link bar, and then one click on the ads it pulls up. Sadly just one click = nothing

    Is there anyway to optimize for the second click?
