One of my post has been in Digg's frontpage for a while, and it gave me some traffic. Then, I searched the keyword "Blogging tips" and found it, in Digg, was the 15th result in Google. I believe some traffic from Digg are actually originally from Google search. But two days later, when I search it again, I can't even find it in Google. The question is: It seems nothing changed for my post in Digg, but why the search result so different?
You probably got the results in Google as at the time google spidered Digg, your link was on the front page - a very nice place to be. The next time google spidered Digg, you probably dropped down to page 10 - not such a good place to be.
I am not sure why google will show a post on digg in the search results, as there's very little about the "actual story" on digg's site. The "actual story" is on your website which was followed by google. But that's just what I think... Don't you think it would be better to show a "direct" link to the "complete" story, than to a site which has a "very" short description? Bye
That makes sense. Maybe google crawled the post when it was on the PR8 front page. And several days later google gets updated, the post was indexed as a PR0 page.
