I have never used Digg.com, but just curious how it works..

do I have to submit a story and then what ?
how easy / hard it is to bring your story on first page ?
how long a story stays on the front page ?
story being pubslihed on front page depends on diggs ? comments ?

sory, I know its kind of dumb question, but I am honestly not sure about this..

You submit a story to digg.com then if it gets lots of diggs in a short period of time it will go on the front page, it will stay on the front page until plenty more come up on the front page and push yours off...

ahan, so people are charging $75-100 to bring your story on top, what if you create 50 accounts, and digg your own story with different proxy ips in a certain time frame... cheating - but wont that work ? I thikn so..

    thanks for the reply though..

do I have to submit a story and then what ?
Yes you submit a story, and then wait for people to digg you.

how easy / hard it is to bring your story on first page ?
It can be hard if you are new at doing it, and you submit an uninteresting article.

how long a story stays on the front page ?
There is no set answer to this. It can be on the front page for a few minutes to a couple of hours.

story being pubslihed on front page depends on diggs ? comments ?
It depends on who diggs it.

This ebook explains more. Though you have to purchase it.

www.Digg.com is a Social Bookmarking websites where users digg ( Bookmark ) stories and publish the stories. www.digg.com gets HUGE traffic and also helps to get webmasters traffic. You just have to submit a story on digg by using your digg account. You'd be needing to submit the website url, description, title, description, tags and choose a appropriate category. Reaching the digg front page depends on your story and website. If your story is good, you'll get many diggs which can get you on front page. If you are spamming, your digg account and/or the story that you have submitted will be get banned without any notifications. I'd also recommend you to pay people 0.10$ per digg and you'll surely get 25 diggs which makes the chances of getting in frontpage more. The story in the frontpage depends on diggs, comments and the time. ( Correct me if I'm wrong ). You have more chances on getting front page of digg if you've many friends. ( Around 200 is good enough ).

Please send me a private message if you have any more questions.

Maybe an article was more popular than yours and knocked it down or it was buried.

Maybe no one did. Also after some time passes the story will disappear no matter how many diggs it has.

You don't get shown your buries. If you want to check it is buried, copy the title of the submission, and search for it using the search feature in the top right of the page. If it doesn't appear it usually means it has been buried.

So a story will dissapear regardless of the amount of diggs it got because of 2-3 people who bury it?

No, it various depending on how many diggs the story has. A story with only a small amount of diggs will only need a couple of buries to make it disappear, a story with a lot of diggs will need more.
