    Hi,

Any idea on how difficult it would be to get on front page of Google for keywords diamonds, certified diamonds, diamond rings, engagement rings - U.K only ?

    Thanks - JB

Well the best thing to do if you must use those particular keywords, is to check to see what your competition is using to get their high rankings. A lot of times the high ranking sites will not be properly optimized, you may be able to copy their format and improve on what their lacking. Do your research you may be surprised at the results.

    Good Luck

Yep. Trioman is spot on with that advice.
Another tip is to keep an eye on the news sites and offer a breaking tidbit regarding diamonds.
    That's fresh content.
Re-write the news story yourself to avoid duplicate content.

Yep, I agree with Trioman and Claymation. On Google UK the number one result for certified diamonds is www.marlowscertifieddiamonds.com. I don't know how they got there. They are using the same Title tag on every page and are currently showing no back links in google. Very little content too. It's surprising to me that there are only 987,000 results for that term.

they're probably pretty highly competitive keywords so they may be hard. you can get up there, but it'll take a lot of SEO work. you might look for smaller keyword phrases to go after and you can drive traffic through them.
