If you had the logic, put it on the paper.search for the errors and rectify it and then compile it on the system and execute it.If you are success , then go to the books or search engines for its better modifications. Here you can observe different ways of codes to execute the same program. There by you can improve your programing skills.
I basically went to institute back in 1999 where I learned foxpro and pascal since then I am self studied other programming languages.
I have learn programming at my college and now i am doing some script for myself and try to learn it more
The first reply you got was the best imho. Trial and error is a great way to learn. And learning while working on something that interests you is much easier than just reading a book.
google is the best place for me to learn programming....I think the knowledge I got from google is much2 better compared to what I learn at the university.... makesure you do lot of practice if you want to be pro programmer....
Same with Nythe. You have to actually do the programming or hands on programming before you can learn to code. My first job is Technical Support for hardware and software and I have no idea on programming. But my Manager transferred me to Development where I have to use FoxPro as my language. He just gave me a preview on coding and some samples. Then he gave me a project wich I have to finish in 6 months. So I dont have other choice but to learn how to code. I started with simple code such as add, edit, next, previous and delete. Then I used Google to research more on the codes I have yet to learn. I remembered me still in the office at 10 pm and crying! And working on holidays! You need patience and lots of patience to totally learn any programming language.
