So i've started my own forum *link in my signature* but I can't get it to kick off.. I have 45 members who arn't very active.. How did you get your site started? How should I improve mine? and what do you think I should do in terms of advertising?

    Thanks for your help

You've got a very nice domain name there, you're lucky. Getting a tech forum off the ground is tough, because there's so many other, well-established ones out there. Just keep persevering with the current members, and get family/friends to use it.

I would join other "tech"-forums, and have have the same link in the signature.
This, might help "recruiting" established and very active members that love to help out other members. You might also get some ideas for your own site while browsing/posting in those forums;)

Just don't spam or promote your own website;)

Be patience, your site is looking good, your url is excellent and a forum can quickly rise.

You might want to check out the marketing, and advertising threads here at DP for some good ideas to reach your goals.

Best of luck with your site!
