I've wanted all my life to be a games designer, I ended up a web designer / developer. It happened by chance. Did you expect to be doing what you do now?
No, I didn't. All the way through school I wanted to be a medical doctor, but unfortunately I didn't get the grades. I ended up doing an undergraduate degree and PhD in chemistry instead, but the intensive grind wore me down and I'm now working on the edges of science. I now do teaching instead of research.
I enjoy it enough. The pay isn't great (worse than research) but the hours of work and holidays are very agreeable. There are also plenty of opportunities for promotion and relocation. I've been here a while, hence my post count. I've managed it without having to post 100 a day in the Mountain Dew thread!
well not really one of my brother told me about dp and different ways to earn money online . so i started as forum poster at starting and now want to learn web designing.
So DP inspired you to be a web designer? I only started using DP yesterday, what is it about digital point that makes it so much more remarkable than other forum sites??
Yes, it was planed ! 2 or 3 years I tried to get some money to buy my first PC ( I was 14 dooh ) and when I got it, it was just like a dream .. That's why right now I'm a programmer
I graduated Mathematics and I should have being a Math or Informatics teacher instead of that, for more then 10 years I'm a programmer, a databases administrator and I do for some time online business
None of my three careers were planned. I joined the US Air Force when I was 19 and stayed 23 years. During my last 3 years I stumbled onto computer programming, and did that for over 20 years after my retirement from the Air Force. Two years ago I got bored with retirement so went to work part time for Wal-Mart.
In fact I have been wanting to do what I am currently doing for the past five years. I took the necessary steps to get where I am now and here I am. Strategy is the key.
