My name in Japanese means "God of Death", but I first got it from a mechanical engineering contest entry at UNR. I thought it sounded cool and decide to use it when I chat with people. There are a few variants of my name online, such as Shini or Shinigami. I have an Ebay account where I am known as Darth Shini and on Myspace I am known as Darth Shini there as well even though originally I was known as sinigami there as well. Sounds complicated huh? On yahoo messenger I have over 20 different variants of the same name (do to many people having the same variant for a name, I just simply nickname myself Sh!nIg@m! in L337. Overall, I prefer Shinigami (my akaneon address) but it is usually stolen before I can steal it for myself. After all, it is a Japanese word that sounds cool.

Good stories! Mine is pretty simple. All the names "mike.edwards, edwardsm, medwards, etc.. were all taken, so had to be creative. So I came up with myke.edwards. I actually like the way Myke looks better than Mike, I might just have to change my name lol.

I just sort of liked the ring to it when it came to me, and nobody else was using it. The only reference I found to Tekime back then was some Australian girls name, haha.. I came up with it while thinking of techno, anime, technology and a name for me so it's kind of a mix.

The words daemon and daimon, sometimes dæmon, are Latinized spellings of Greek δαιμων, used purposely today to distinguish the daemons of Greek mythology, good or malevolent "supernatural beings between mortals and gods, such as inferior divinities and ghosts of dead heroes", from the Judeo-Christian usage demon, "a malignant spirit that can possess humans."

Socrates claimed to have a daimonion, a small daemon, that warned him against mistakes but never told him what to do or coerced him into following it. He claimed that his daimon exhibited greater accuracy than any of the forms of divination practised at the time.

Also, I have a fixation for the number 3. I just simply add a "33" to my name whenever the simple DaEMoN is already taken.

As for the capitalization of some characters, I like the symmetry of it.

Note: ...reading back this post, I realize I should see a good psychiatrist.

My user id is my firstname+first initial of my last name.
I started using it when I joined my current company - I got the same email id that time.
