That was actually a good example of how PROBABLY things worked many many years ago.
You now might not think that, but i'm quite positive that people in the past did think that.

    @1EighT

I was about to abandon the discussion but the post just gimmicked my attnetion so thought better to have my say.

Ok, let's get scientific, and for a moment consider the Darwanian school of thought. We evolved, but if m' not mistaken, evolution itself comes to happen when something exists already, my question is basically about the 'existence' of human and other creatures, how did they come into existence? i think the early man or the very first creature had not been extracted out of some non living matter, i.e. must know the concept and validity of biogenesis and abiogenesis

Psychological evidiences prrove that human minds are not pre-dispositioned. Here actually i really couldn't understand what actually you want to explain, i.e is human mind pre dispositioned by his physical environment, or it's by default?

this statement contradicts the one above. If the human mind is pre dispositioned it must have been by some external force. Suppose for a moment that no god there then it must have been dispositioned by other individuals. And if it's like this there must be a social coordination.

It may also because of some meta physical aspects of life.

Ok, let's try to do it ourselves................ :)

That's what i agree with you, but i think being kind to each other has nothing to do with the belief, it's something more for mutual benefits.

    Regards,

Your perception of reality and religion is so scewed I'm not sure I can figure out where to begin, but for one thing, evolution doesn't explain away God. I think that's pretty much agreed on. Another thing, as a Christian, I'm not kind to other people because of being scared of what God will do to me if I'm not. When I'm kind to someone, it's partly because I know they are God's creation, and are equal to me no matter what they've done or their status is, and also because there are real world consiquences for not being kind.

You say every culture has used God as an explination for what we don't understand and therefore it is silly. Maybe it has more to do with the built in knowledge of God that every human posesses. Sure, lots of cultures didn't have Jesus and the Bible, so their Gods were percieved quite differently, but isn't it just evidence that there is something in our conciousness that makes us recognize that all this, reality, life, etc... are not possible without God?

Every culture has also had a built in need to believe in and keep track of this unexplainable thing called time, but that doesn't make it silly for our culture to do the same does it? I don't really understand you "logic".

No. If you say that all of existence is not possible without god, you are simply limiting yourself mentally wise - and that's not too good mate.

Really? Maybe you should brush up on your history. Helios, one of the greek "gods". They most definitely believed in him, and for quite some time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helios

Its a ridiculous theory, thats obvious.

I bet you can't remember why you believe in the theory of god, when you was a little baby?

Limiting yourself to reality and logic is not good?

You perceive god as reality and logic ?
Then there is no sense in talking to you about it, as you are delusional in my opinion.

Well, one of us obviously is delusional then. I guess we'll find out some day, or if you're right, we won't find out cause our conciousness will just evaporate when we die. Either way, you'll never prove me wrong. :D

Didn't quite understand what you were trying to say here.

That is exactly why i said there is no sense in debating with you on that subject, as you have your head stuck way deep inside god's... erhm, how shall i say it nicely ? :)

What I mean is: If there is no God and nothing after death, then when we die we won't know... we won't have a conciousness to register this nothingness with, so, if I'm wrong, I'll never know it, and you won't either, but if I'm right, we'll both know it. :)

I just hope if I'm right that you come around before we die. I mean that seriously too, even though I don't know you, I don't wish for anyone to go to hell.

After you die, there's nothing. You just die. There is no YOU anymore.
As simple as that, yet again ALOT of people who are religious and not, cannot seem to understand and accept it.

    Oh well.

I still don't understand why "believers" don't/won't also believe in the Tooth Fairy.

Can somebody prove to me that The Tooth Fairy doesn't exist?
