You really should add content if possible. At least 350 words on the page should be good. Make sure your page titles and descriptions are unique.

If you can't add content, building links is the only way that can help your site move up. Start some blog commenting, forum posting, and directory submissions. If you can contact some webmasters that are willing to give you a link, that is even better.

Remember that it takes time to rank. You should see some movement in a month or so, but it can take 3-6 months or longer to hit front page. If you are going for some really competitive keywords, it can take over a year.

Your home page has no content then does not a matter. If your inner page has any content start promoting that page so automatically your home page will get rank.

Continue link building for home page also.

Wrong way to promote your site.

Try paid ads and you'll find qualified buyers.....

SEO will drive wishful thinkers and information seekers.

get some content first then once content is up there, then promote with a ppc campaign, at the same time begin to optimise ur website, hopefully if you do it correctly then your oragnic results should start to improve and you can reduce your ppc campaign

Content is only half the story. It is possible to rank top ten without any much/any content if you have enough high quality links.

See http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cach...m/reader/+click+here&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=uk as a prime example.

Sorry to all you seasoned SEOs who've heard this a gazillion times :) . . . but for you newbies - this page ranks #1 for 'click here', yet there is no reference to 'click here' in the page copy, as you can see. The reason it ranks so highly is because the majority of links back to this page use the anchor text 'click here'. As in - "Don't have Acrobat Reader? Click here to download" (or something similar).

To reitterate - it's all about the links!!! If you're struggling with content, focus on the links.

Of course, in an ideal world (before I get flamed), you want both optimised onsite content and high quality backlinks, but as we all know - it's not an ideal world ;).

You can written an articles that are basically recommendation for particular types of jewelry. i.e. what stone represents a particular star sign, or what types of rings are good for engagements, birthdays, etc and why? Guide your customers to your products, especially the men, who usually have no clue. Yes, and I am speaking from experience.

Basically act like they walked into a jewelry shop, and need help in choosing an item. Let your articles be that really helpful shop assistant.

That way if someone does a search for 'birthday rings for wives', then your page will rank well, and you will have a customer who is almost ready to buy.
