There's a link somewhere pointing to it or it was submitted for inclusion.

Hard to say without you giving the URL... try going to yahoo and typing linkdomain:www.YourSite.com - any backlinks?

    Hi,

There are several ways to get list on G :

    1) Submit your site directly to them

    2) Submit a Google Sitemap

    3) Get incoming links to your homepage. These will be followed by Google's crawlers and will lead them to your site.

I think that Google must be crawling sites via other methods nowadays. I have a domain (www.fashionblender.com) that has never been linked to and is just redirected to my fashion blog, and fashionblender.com is coming up in the serps.

Actually it looks like there are a couple links to fashionblender.com:

    http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.co...bwm=i&bwmf=s&bwmo=&fr=yfp-t-501&fr2=seo-rd-se

    is showing:
    www.viciousstyle.com/fashionnews/2006_07_01_viciousstyle_archive.html
    and
    www.viciousstyle.com/fashionnews/2006/07/sexy-shoe-sale.html
    and

Crawl caching proxy servers. Presumably, an anonymous user with the Google toolbar installed would be enough to get you indexed. Running AdSense or other Google services on the site will get you indexed.

That is due to the fact that fashionblender.com is producing a 302 HTTP status code on redirect to viciousstyle.com/fashionnews/.

You can check server headers here.

You should reconfigure it to produce a 301.
