High Pr directory always gives best result. You have to submit directory with relevant and theme of site, therefore you will get approval faster rather than rejection of submission.

Honestly, I originally didn't notice my PR change until I posted "No Pagerank, No Problem: February Earnings" and everyone told me I had a PR4 lol...

But it's been a PR4 for the last few days that I have checked. I think I last checked last night? I'm currently at work without the toolbar... any change on my PR to anyone that has the toolbar right now?

I'm not surprised. Your content has been picked up by some major authority sites.

Previously, PR is determine based on only incoming links. But currently its matters outgoing links also. To assign a PR, google algorithm evaluate the no. of coming links and their relevancy with pr, and how many no. of links point to other sites. So, if you maintain your PR you should care about getting good links and pointing to other sites.

I did NOT pay for any directory submissions. Though, I believe I did try to submit to Google, Dmoz, Yahoo, etc. I didn't really hear back from any of them though. But apparently, I'm in Yahoo's?
