My experience you always pay more at places like Snap, Pool, etc... than if you bought the name via a forum etc... where you may pickup names closer to wholesale. May have to hold on to them for a while.

c10.net might be ok, if developed. The rest are no good IMO.
I suggest you do your research on domaining and visit the domaining forums, such as namepros and dnforum before you invest more money.

Try to invest in names that will worth something in future,LLLL.com's is the best option right now.If you backorder any names in future be sure that name is worth backordering and you don't overpay.
you overpaid that names i m sorry to tell you.

What do you mean, Asys? Did you invest just to find they weren't worth what you thought? Or, do you mean you can't decide to wheter to stay in the domaining biz?

Anyone in the domaining biz needs to get their head around the idea that the domain needs to have high type-ins to get flipped for profit or be branded and developed to produce value. 'Good ideas', don't sell in this business. Stick around the forums. Research every domain keyword phrase before purchasing. And don't register domains more than 2 words long and only register domains with the shortest words possible that are used in popular English(unless you are going for IDNs).

    Anyone else care to add?

    Good Luck DP'ers

Yeah i know i had the feeling when i won the auction that it was an impulsive decision on my part. So why would something you can't spell would worth more money. I can understand about 3 letters but not sure about 4, any insight?

    Yeah,
I had bought some domains and they are good enough according to current trend.
But,I can n’t sell them as I want to do so.
It’s because,I have no such exact ideas about their prices.
At moments,it appears to be worth of some k in my mind and then in the next moment no value for me.
But all are sound domains and will be developed soon.
Though I have no exact ideas,I will try my best to learn something here..

    Anyway,many thanks.
    Happy domaining. :)

Well i was under the impression aged domains are easy to optimize and always have value. I will let you in on what i was thinking and my take on these domains so you can point me in a right direction.

888gifts.com ( i am looking develop gift store and plus it will be a good typo for 800gifts

skinexpress.com (It was a 9 year old domain so i was hoping i can develop it but Whois info seems to be deleted after the purchase, unlike godaddy auction.)

    c10.net

storage-cabinets.com ( term is searched a lot on overture and can make up good addon for any furniture store.

purchasegames.com Also aged domain, ok i got suckered into it :)

Hopefully you guys can comment on it, and let me know if i am approaching domain concept right or not.

The domains are some good ones, not worth $300 though. Develop them and im sure youll make your money back.

C10.net may grow in value if you hold onto it.

I think purchasegames.com has good potential as I imagine a fair amount of people are looking to do just that (ie purchase games!).

Afraid I wouldn't have paid $300 for them though....

I think you would get it back if you developed them properly though, good luck.

Only one with any "real" value would be storage-cabinets.com. Only because it's at least generic enough to be developed into an information site, etc. Had there not been a dash, I would've said great buy.

The rest are all considered brandables... 95% chance I wouldn't have taken them for even reg fee, except c10.net.

I'd make sure they all get developed in some sort of way.

would of been better with a 1 infront then it sounds like a phone number for people to order and buy gifts, but you can turn it into a Affiliate site without it still, with Amazon and etc. People can buy gifts

    c10
CCC.net, and a lot of search results in Google keep it for a while

    purchasegames
If marketed right, can be a good Affiliate site, if the site start to get traffic try making a deal with gamestop. To list there games on the front page for buyers

    storage-cabinets
I dont know about this one

    skinexpress
A great way to talk about skin relates products. Like clearing skin, stopping aging and etc. And If people start to go to your site, strike advertisement deals with those companies. Like Clearsil, Proactive, and other skin care products

These are good domains, if you put the time into them and develop them imo

    Hi,

i would develop storage-cabinets.com into an adsense site as it is a good type in key word and the furniture adsense clicks are resonable. Dont worry if it has a dash its doesn't make that much difference for type in traffic.

skin express would be good to develop into a facial cosmetic site.

c10.net not sure what to do with that but it's brandable

    good luck
