In an effort to provide searchers the most helpful search results, Google has continued to refine their search algorithm. Their most recent update, affectionately named "Penguin," was launched shortly after Memorial Day. Penguin updates are expected to continue through the end of 2012, and are geared toward dramatically improving quality, relevancy, and cleanliness of the search result by penalizing overly spammy pages or those with spam-like links. Sites that violate Google's quality guidelines have also likely been hit by this newest update to Google's constantly changing algorithm. So what do you think of this new upgrades?
My site has tanked on certain key words, my web company is blaming it on me, but they handle everything (I dont get access) I think they arent competent to handle penguin. I guess we'll see.....
I thing Google defined some parameter for website quality and if your website already rank at first page with targeting competitive keywords but your website don’t belong in Google quality parameter than your website ranking down suddenly . This is known as Google Penguin affect. Google's latest penguin update had a created a huge impact on seo industry. Hundreds or even thousands of people lost their job, a lot of seo professional had started gone crazy about their serp rankings. All that I can suggest, is that always create very good and high quality content. As well as get backlinks from authority sites with the same niche.
Google released the first of what will probably be many Google Penguin updates. This update created a huge stir with those using search engine optimization (SEO) to gain traffic and make money. Some websites dropped out of the rankings, while others exploded and found the top of the Google rankings.
No effect at all to any of my customers but one who changed on-page factors believing he knows it better than me. Can't see any problem with this update. If SEOs are fired, it will most probably effect those who didn't know their job and only called themselves SEO. Good sign to get rid of a part of this stupid competition.
I haven't seen any effects on my websites. I think the most important thing to remember is to have good and unique content on your website that is focused on the subject matter you are targeting.
A few of my websites have gone down in the SERPs. A nice reminder that i need to add more valuable content.
