How did Google get so popular?

I know when Google came out and how long it has been here, but I just wanna know how in the hell did it become so popular? I mean like they're so many other companies trying to compete with Google but no other search engines can compete with them! Yahoo used to be the shit back then, but Google came on the side and blew them away like dust! I have to give Google props because they're doing it big right now!!!

 

Well, Google have a lot of services, have a great ideas for the future.
With one word Google is on the step with the world, is on the step with what people want from the World Wide Web.

Besides that... all this Media Buzz saying Google is search king and the everlasting battles between Google, MSN + Yahoo gives people a reason to visit big G, and one neat thing about Google is there's no image distraction like banners & flash ads so people really get to concentrate on what they're looking for.

 

i think google is doing the Right Thing, and these can improve our WWW life, so love it!

Google has been practicing unique search tactics based on advanced linguistic knowledge. Besides, they provide most relevat results, and their spiders are really quick

 

I think because Google is the FIRST search engine made. There results are lot better than others, better services, they give relevant results for each country.

 

I think the success of Google might result in offering more accurate results for general searches and there are so many dedicated services from it like image, music and many others.

Look at Google's results, and compare it to one of the "we-are-the-best-newest-search-engine"'s results. Google gives much more relevant results, because they have been in the industry than any of the other leading players; they also focus on making their search engine the best, while others are looking for more profit (from my point of view).

 

Adsense is responsible for this. Used by millions of sites.

The reason why they are so popular is because they provide the highest quality services over any other Internet company, and although Alexa is not 100% accurate, it is no surprise that Google's rank is 1.

 

I like google, and people do, because it's pages are very simple, only the very necessary text you see. There are no banners or pubs or flash or whatever yahoo is making in its home page !

Using google is like being at home, and using yahoo is like being in someone else home. / my words, but in so bad English

 

Google is easy to use, and is the only engine that shows and helps website owners to use google to the owners needs

 

I happen to use Google before wherein that time it was not so popular like yahoo but after using and finding good results in its search engine that is the time I keep using them. I guess its started with how people notice how good google in searching

 

Google is popular becuz of it's webmaster tools,
2nd it has many page indexed than other search engines and it also index site quickly for example you can see my site's index in google and bing.
