How did DP forums get so popular?

Critical mass in an underdeveloped field.

 

Good word of mouth factor,

Revenue sharing,

and a bunch of other factore make DP what it is today,

 

Lot of good information available on DP + Revenue sharing + Buy,sell and trade section + some other factors make DP a popular place.

 

So much knowledge in one place and for free, what else do you want?

 

All of the above contributes to the success of DP.

 

In my opinion the success behind the DP forum is their userbase, there are alot of members very knowledgeable who are willing to share their knowledge.

 

I'm new to digitalpoint and I've started participating because of marketplace, there are discussions which tells about products people selling and that makes buying process more safer for me... That was the first thing I liked.

 

Think the most important reason is DP forum offers the audiences what they actually want.

It only became popular because Summer became a Mod and all the women-starved geek webmaster men knew she builds successful websites in skimpy knickers. I mean, seriously, don't we all fancy a babysitter like her?

I like the fact that you learn a lot here. A lot of members share there experience with the rest of us. Helps us make fewer mistakes.

Good posts and quality of moderation has made DP popular. DP is one of the few forums you will find explanatory posts and relevant categories for marketers.

 

They hit on subjects that other forums dont...such as YPN and Adsense...
