I have articles on my website. Guides and FAQ. Anyway these are all under the ssame script that just uses mod rewrite to list it niceley. The problem I think is that I use / to separate. Is this a problem. An example link could be: domain.com/support/guides/main_category/sub_category/this-is-an-article-in-a-sub I also dont have .html at the end. Should I clean this up?
Okay well. I think I will change to .html anyway. Users will like to see .html rather then a directory. I could do this: domain/cat-{catname}-sub-{subcatname}-{article-name} is that a problem? with having a too long listing?
Okay thanks. That clears things up quite a bit. It will take me quite a while to edit all the links to work correctly with the new system but I think it will be worth getting it done. If you dont mind answering this I would be grateful. No one seems to have taken a shine to this topic: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=226206
I will take a look at it, glad we could help you here dude. One last thing though, if the current links are getting indexed, don't change them. Just create them over again and link from the old pages to them. That way your not breaking off any links
Hmm, I can understand your dilemma, well its up to you to decide what you think is best. But if it were my site, I would try to figure out a way to do what I suggested.
