How could this happen? Indexed Pages question

    Hi everyone,

    My Site has about 35000 indexed Pages in google.

    My competitor site had up until a couple of days back about 2400 ( for months and months its been that way) .... ( eventhough they are a bigger and busier site)

    Their indexed pages have now jumped up from about 2400 to 82000.......

    How can indexed pages change that much in one day?

    My new memberships ever since have dropped to zero.....

    any suggestions as to what would cause such a dramatic increase?..

    I already have a site map... :)

    Im wondering why my competitors indexed pages have risen from 2400 to over 80000 in a day...
