How could I promote my online shop store?

    I have a shop too, I sell designer clothing and accessories (its all authentic, and its not an affiliate). The vast majority of my sales come from search engines (google) and article marketing surprisingly. Ive tried ppc, advertising in fashion blogs and fashion ezines but it doesnt convert well. It does work to plug your sales and what not on forums though.

    you could write a few articles
    do some link exchanges
    sig in forums
    use social networking site
    some offline advertising
    and the greatest of all word of mouth

    I have a client who has a fairly small e-commerce site and he only spends about 500 a month on marketing. He sales cycling accessories and we tried adwords but we didn't get a good ROI for his little budget.
