How could I make this sexier?

    Take a look on the left side, I'm attempting to add a new column to the forum, and I did it successfully with http://indigosociety.com except for http://writersbeat.com it's going to be a little more harder to blend in.

    Can anyone give me some advice on how I can make this outermost-left column "sexier"?

    Dividers between the words, gradient on the column, patterns, stuff like that.

    make the 2nd menu bar the same color as the left navigation.

    Divide each menu item but also make in each divider a gradient like the pink gradient on the top bar. So their more like buttons then just words.

    You need to put dividers between the data as well as you can include a new menu bar in the field to abstract more data under that....................
